We cross thresholds every day on our journey through this world. Metaphorically, the crossing of a threshold is a right of passage, a symbolic moment of transfiguration.
Some thresholds we strive to cross, we anxiously await whatever may greet us on the other side. Sometimes the anticipation of one threshold may distract you from the fact that you have already crossed many; in the pursuit of our goals sometimes we fail to realize the transformations we make on a daily basis. Sometimes we are too busy taking the next step to actually stop, slow down, and hang out in the threshold, to take a moment to adjust our body to its unfamilar shape.
This is a moment of peaceful surrender, where you may reassure yourself that the change you seek is just on the other side, awaiting you, as you have awaited it.
Give yourself the gift of this moment.
Hi tumblr. It’s been a really long time. I have changed A LOT since I last posted on this site, but just reminisced through my archive for a bit.
Made some awesome new friends today, one of which has this 5 foot diameter hoop 😬
Because the skies were gray and the wind was chilly until I came outside and started hooping 🌻😍 P.S. this one is for the “gentleman” who wrote the article “why women should stop wearing high waisted shorts”
The time has come!! Summer has officially arrived, along with my bruise factory.
Brutally honest fun fact of the day: no one (that I can think of) enjoys having unnecessary attention called to their body, which means that when I say hello and wish you a happy mother’s day, making comments such as “She is so thin!” and “My leg is thicker than her whole body!” as if I am not standing right in front of you is not flattering, nor do I interpret them as a compliment. Would it be appropriate for me to say, “Oh, hello! Wow the thickness of my body is equivalent to two times the circumference of her thighs!” No? Didn’t think so.
Evidence of my remarkable #pincha progress ❤️😚
